January 31, 2018
12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Room 156
This Wednesday, January 31st, PCLP is proud to host members from the Tucson Police Department Legal Advisor’s Office, Lisa Judge and Antonio L. Zapata, who will give a presentation titled “Officer Involved Shootings.”
The Police Legal Advisors are members of the City Attorneys’ Office, but are assigned to the Police Department. The Legal Advisors perform such duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Police, including annual legal update training required of all sworn members. The Tucson Police Department’s Legal Advisor’s Office advises the department on a wide range of issues facing a modern police department. The Legal Advisors provide legal opinions on topics such as department policy, liability, contracts, personnel matters, and public records requests. The Legal Advisor’s Office also assists the department prior to and during various field operations.
Please join us for what is sure to be an informative talk. We will be meeting in Room 156, and as always, pizza will be served at noon.
**CLE Events**
The State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement. This activity may qualify for up to 1.0 hours toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of Arizona. CLE certificates are available at the presentation.
