Amy Knight from the Mexican Capital Legal Assistance Program will be the guest speaker for PCLP. The Mexican Capital Legal Assistance Program was created in 2000 to save Mexican citizens from execution in the United States. Amy Knight is an associate attorney at Kuykendall & Associates. She earned her law degree at Stanford Law School after receiving an undergraduate degree in English and cognitive science from Vassar College and a Masters in Fine Arts in writing from the University of Arizona. As a law student, Amy worked at the Habeas Corpus Resource Center in San Francisco, where she assisted in post-conviction representation of California death row inmates. She also participated in successful litigation challenging California’s lethal injection protocols. As a member of Stanford’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, Amy participated in the litigation of several cases before the United States Supreme Court and she also served as an articles editor at the Stanford Law Review.
